It Was All Yellow: My Experience with Zaful

Hi, everyone! So this is my first post in a very long time, and I wanted a fresh start since so much has changed – since have changed. Blogging is something I've always wanted to pursue but never quite had the confidence, time, or will power to really chase. Here is try #463. Definitely know the direction I want to take this in, so feel free to tag along on my journey.

So, as you may or may not already know, I went on vacation this past month – VERY well deserved (still not quite long enough). I just wanted to share my favorite yellow pieces bought specifically for this trip.

When it comes to my personal style, I gravitate towards classic looks, sometimes with vintage inspiration. I've been wanting a high-waisted bikini forever, but it is challenging to find one that isn't too costume-y. I came by this bikini in an Instagram ad, and fell in love immediately – loved the cut, the pattern, and the color of course. This specific one sold out but here is a similar style.

Here is another example of how to wear it. Since the high-waisted cut can make for some awkward tan lines, I recommend actually being in the water while wearing it. You can also wear the top out of the water and pair it with a cute romper like this one from Lulu's or even a dress like this from Princess Polly. Not only do I want my clothes to look good, I also want to look good in them, so these pass my test of being very flattering.

Okay now imagine riding a bike on the coast in this cute dress – that is exactly what I did. I felt like a picnic daydream. You can find this perfect summer dress here for only $21.49! This dress is super girly and super flattering, hopefully I can get more usage out of it before next summer! Super helpful: You can wear the pieces separately! I love boyfriend jeans, and since the top is so fitted, it can easily be paired with these without making me look like a potato.

For the skirt, this is the look and direction I will definitely be taking. This J.Crew bodysuit is a must for me because I usually tuck in my button downs anyway, it gives my outfits a cleaner, more sophisticated look. Love love love Jacks always, so here is the Georgica Raffia Sandal giving a little glitz without upstaging the entire look. And last, but not least, of course I had to throw in my fave designer and inspiration KJP – tie up the fit with this cute belt!

This was my first time ordering through Zaful and I was very pleased! The great deals got my attention of course, I've been super tight on money lately being a college student with bills to pay and what not, and I was very pleased with the quality. I read a lot of reviews about the website and was a little skeptical at first about whether or not I would receive my items in time, but keep in mind that they have many orders to process, which takes time, and then they have to ship it to you which also takes time. Since I ordered from the middle of the US, it took a little longer to reach me and I wasn't sure it would reach me before my trip, BUT luckily it did! I think Zaful is great for affordable stylish clothes. The fact that the reviews on some items are so detailed and sometimes include pictures of the clothes on real customers definitely makes them more trustworthy. I might not order if I'm on a time crunch, but if I need a look for less, it definitely has my attention!

I hope this post was helpful in someway and maybe inspired you! Thank you so much for your support! (& thank you to my not-so-little brother for taking my pictures for me!)

xoxo Cate M.
